A sacred space rooted in community

The Tree of Life Orchard stands as both sanctuary and tribute—supporting local wildlife, fostering biodiversity, and creating a place of reflection for visitors.

Our first trees were planted in honor of Rabbi Sholom Brodt, of blessed memory, whose guidance helped bring Living Tree Alliance to Central Vermont and connected us with Rabbi Tobie Weisman and Maggid David Fried, owner of Elmore Roots.

Dedication options

  • Sapling: $150—Young fruit tree beginning its journey

  • Established tree: $250—More mature fruit tree with a strong foundation

  • Heritage specimen: $375—Specialty mature fruit tree of distinguished variety

Remembering Rabbi Sholom Brodt

Rav Sholom, founder of Yeshivat Simchat Shlomo in Jerusalem, brought his masterful understanding of Judaic studies, teaching, and storytelling to Vermont through the Yearning for Learning Center in Montpelier. His radiant kindness and joyful celebration of Jewish life illuminated our community.

We are deeply honored to dedicate this Tree of Life Orchard to his memory—creating a space where other inspiring people and meaningful moments can be celebrated through the enduring gift of fruit trees.
