Apprentices are invited to join us for an experiential program for 3-5 months. Our apprenticeship begins anytime from May through the beginning of July and runs through the middle of October culminating in our regional Sukkot on the Farm festival.
We are in our third year of cultivating our land for apprenticeships, farm to school programming and Jewish festivals. This is a great opportunity to help build the grounds for a village, and get our perennial food systems started. Throughout the year, we are immersed in community education, building, farming, and the production of Jewish region-wide land-based festivals including our popular Sukkot on the Farm Festival, Shavuot on the Mountain, Sugar and Shmooze Gathering, and Farm to Plate Shabbat Dinners.
We offer 15 -25 hours of guided apprenticeship work exchange each week. Apprentices gain significant skills, training, and experience in permaculture design, homesteading, farming, preservation, spiritual and multi-generational Jewish education, leadership development, and natural building. Apprentices can expect to leave with skills and training in some the following:
