VTeen is a state wide program that offers expanded opportunities for teen connection, leadership, friendships and creative Jewish experience.

This is a program of Jewish Communities of Vermont:  coordinated by Living Tree Alliance Staff and generously made possible through support from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.

 

 

Immersive Shabbat Experiences plus leadership building throughout the year

June 8-9 - Teen Program at Shavuot on the Mountain

Stowe, VT

We will have a special program for Vermont Teens at the Shavuot on the Mountain event in Stowe, VT.

Sleepover in one of the classrooms at Jewish Community of Greater Stowe (JCOGS), hike to Mountain Chapel, eat amores around the campfire and engage in lots of fun with teens from across the state.

April 5 - 7 - Teen Retreat at Vermont Jewish Community Summit

Kilington, Vermont

Join other teens throughout the state as we Build Community together and learn leadership skills.

We have two condos reserved for teens. We will share a Shabbat gathering, swim in heated pools, hike, engage in a scavenger hunt, and explore Jewish identity amongst community building.

September 22- 23 - Camput, Maimonades Cafe, and Natural Build at Living Tree Alliance, Moretown, VT

Saturday 4 - 6 pm: Family discussions about Jewish concepts of Joy with food and song under the tent at Living Tree Alliance. Teens stay for a camp out in our beautiful forests.  Maimonades Cafe facilitated by Harwood teacher, Kathy Caldwell.  

Sunday 9 am - 3 pm: Natural Building Workshop
Together we will build and decorate a Sukkah! Teens will learn to use tools, work together as a team and explore the concepts of Sukkot.

November 30 - December 1 

We will gather to celebrate Shabbat (day of rest), and engage in the drama of the Chanukah story, learning the ways the story informs activism today.   Join us in learning how to be the leaders of change in this world.
