Join us for our 12th annual Sukkot on the Farm festival—a joyful weekend celebrating the fall harvest with song, learning, delicious food, and community connection under our creatively designed temporary dwelling, the sukkah.

Weekend Schedule: 

Join us for the whole weekend or just the part that intrigues you most

  • Saturday October 11:
    • 2pm – Arrive to get set up and settled.
    • 2:30pm – Opening Circle
    • 3pm-4pm – Sukkot as Ecological Prayer: Rituals for Rain and Balance with Jared Gellert 
    • 4pm – 5pm – Meditation in the Sukkah – with Rabbi David Fainsilber of JCOGS

    • 5:15pm –  Harvest Soup dinner with bread donated from Red Hen and Green Rabbit

    • 6:15pm –  Song Circle in the Sukkah (Harvest Hut) with teachings, community connections and Havdalah Ceremony of Distinction. 

    • 7:45pm – Music in the barn with Avi Salloway (from Billy Wylder) and Friends. 

      Sunday October 12  

      8:30am-9:15am – Avodat HaLev – Prayers around the fire & oatmeal breakfast served

      9:30am – Adults choose from one of the following workshops: 

      • Fermentation workshop with expert Josh Rosenstein

      • Plant Walk – Know your place – explore and connect to the life that you walk amongst with naturalist Elliot Cluba 

      • Reawakening Your Inner Voice with Jewish Studio Project facilitator Rabbi Tobie Weisman

      9:30am – Children join for an engaging puppet show with Anna Sobel of Talking Hands Theater

      Followed by Local Lulav Making with Rabbi David and educator Sarah Villanouva of JCOGS,

              and Potato harvesting, apple cider pressing, and nature crafts with LTA’s Fellows. 

  •   11:30am Song Circle & Willow Dance honoring Hoshana Rabbah—a musical earth-based ritual that’s accessible to all,    12pm – Lunch with Gracies Tamales and Sandwich bar with greens from the farm
  •   1pm – Closing Circle 
  •   2pm – Stay to help us clean up – we are grateful for volunteers to support the festival 

Camping and limited indoor accommodations available for one night or the whole weekend—select the lodging add-on when you register. Some pre-festival events begin Friday evening, with the full festival starting Saturday afternoon.

Saturday night we welcome Avi Salloway & friends for a luminous night of art-rock, global grooves, and folk music that’ll make you want to dance! 

Avi Salloway is an acclaimed musician, activist, and educator. He grew up learning music from American folk legends, Pete and John Seeger, and from an early age, was exposed to the power of music to bring people together. Salloway is the bandleader for Billy Wylder, has co-written, produced, and recorded on 15 albums and performed over 1500 concerts across six continents. He also toured for many years in Bombino’s band, the Tuareg guitar hero from Niger. Highlight performances include Coachella, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center.

We believe in making Sukkot on the Farm accessible to all who want to celebrate with us. The true cost per person is over $100, which covers meals (Saturday dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch), programming, facilities, and fair compensation for our teachers and musicians.

  • Individual, single day: $30-$65
  • Family, full event: $85-$300
  • Family, single day: $45-$150
  • Saturday night barn concert only: $18 per person

Higher contributions help us provide scholarships and keep our festival accessible across economic circumstances. We trust you to choose an amount that feels right for your situation—no questions asked.
