Our Vision

Cohousing

Kibbutz-Inspired Living

Living Tree is a role model for kibbutz-inspired living in the US—a thriving community connected through joyful, adventurous earth-based living.

Our orientation toward the observance of Jewish traditions, rituals and cycles while maintaining a spiritually inclusive consciousness creates a unique and meaningful fabric that defines our cohousing community.  We gather regularly for Shabbat celebrations which include sharing in song, ritual meal, and contemplative walks on the land.

The place we call home is a year-round travel destination of indelible beauty that many families call home. It is a vibrant place with many employment options both in the Valley and in the nearby cities of Montpelier, Waterbury, Stowe and Burlington.

We love this place and enjoy sharing our creation with guests, the wider Mad River Valley community, and the world!
