The Village
CohousingA Special Place to Visit
The Living Tree Cohousing community is being built on 3 acres of our 91-acre property and sits on a south facing knoll, overlooking the farm field with views of the Green Mountatins in the distance. This village is nested in a very special place, both on the river and within the Mad River Valley community. This land is home to a non profit educational organization and a working farm cooperative. While each of these businesses are run separately from the cohousing organization they are mutually supportive. Residents own a quarter acre building site and an equal share of the remaining common land. They can choose to participate in a working lands cooperative responsible for the stewardship of the farm, forest and river lands as well as a non profit educational initiative that operates programs on the land. We offer temporary housing options for those hoping to visit and check out our community.
