Living Tree Farm Camp
August 5 - 10, 9 a.m - 3 p.m (after-care available upon request)
ages 6 - 10
Emerge into the natural world for a weeklong camp that encourages children to explore the bounty of the earth. We will put our hands in the soil to grow food, visit farm animals, make meals and medicine with our harvest, play games in the field, romp in the woods, play in the stream, and swim in the river.
This camp is Jewishly inspired and welcome to all walks of life. We will teach universal values with a Jewish base and share in song and gratitude circles that foster community living connected to the earth.
We will end the week with a family Friday Evening Shabbat Dinner that the campers help harvest and prepare. All families invited to come explore the farm at 3pm and help prepare for our community Shabbat dinner at 5pm.
Sample of Day at Farm Camp:
9am - Arrival at Barn! Welcome all friends
Circle Time with gratitude, song, and movement, rooted in Jewish song and prayer!
Morning block 1: farm activities - planting/ harvesting / collecting eggs / visiting animals / making farm fresh snacks
10:30am - morning snack
Morning Block 2 - romp through the woods with sit spot
Play in stream or river
woodland adventures and creating
Lunch - Campers bring their own bagged Lunch
After lunch: Storytelling under the tent, each day we will use story to teach different values (middot)
Afternoon Block - arts and crafts, medicine making, and/or games in the field
2:45pm - closing circle
3pm - pick up back at the Barn
Cost: $275 per camper.

Friday August 10 - arrive at 3pm to help us prepare for Shabbat dinner in the field.
Together we will create the beauty of Shabbat with our preparations: We will make fresh grape juice, pick flowers for the table, bake challah, and make everything extra special!
5pm - Musical Kabbalat Shabbat Experience
5:30 pm - Potluck dinner in the field with Shabbat rituals and blessings
